A retreat before it becomes home
Buying a property in southern Spain is one of the most significant decisions a person makes — financially, logistically, and emotionally. The buyers we work with are not impulsive. They want to understand what the life actually feels like before they commit to it: how the light moves through a particular home in the morning, what it is like to wake up to the sea in October, whether Marbella or the Costa de la Luz is truly where they belong.
Our private retreat stays offer exactly that. We arrange access to carefully selected villas — properties from our network that represent the standard we apply to every home we present — for private stays of typically one to two weeks. Not a hotel, not a holiday rental. An honest experience of a specific way of living.
What a Kaluma retreat includes
Each retreat is arranged individually. There is no catalogue, no booking engine, no standardised package. We take time to understand what you are looking for — the type of property, the area, the rhythm of the stay — and we find the right home and the right moment.
During the stay, we make ourselves available for conversations about the market, the area, and what ownership in southern Spain actually involves. Not a sales pitch — an honest exchange. If the retreat leads to a property search, we are ready. If it leads to a better understanding that more time is needed, that is equally valuable.

For those who already own a Kaluma property — or any property on the Costa del Sol — we also help clients structure private wellness retreat programmes in their own homes. Working with trusted practitioners in yoga, sound healing, nutrition, breathwork and functional medicine, we curate experiences that use the property as the sanctuary it was designed to be.
These are deeply private — designed for individuals, couples and small groups who want to use time in southern Spain for genuine restoration, rather than simply a change of scene. The programme is designed around you: your pace, your priorities, and the particular quality of rest or recalibration you are looking for.
